Worldwide Standards Indexes
British Standards - Provides a searchable index of British Standards covering a range of sectors, including aerospace, engineering, innovation, design, and manufacturing.
GlobalSpec - Engineering search engine for information, products, suppliers, events, businesses in the engineering, manufacturing and related scientific and technical market sectors.
GlobalSpec Technical Library - Index to free technical and reference articles and abstracts from scientific and engineering publishers.
IEEE Standards - Browse the full range of Standards published by the IEEE through its Xplore digital library platform as well as view the most recently published Standards. Search by number, subject, range, or keyword.
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) - A network of national standards institutes from 160 countries, developing and publishing International Standards. It published an index of ISO Standards by International Classification for Standards (ICS) and by Technical Committee (TC).
NSSN: National Resource for Global Standards - Search engine for information on Standards from a range of developers and is administered by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
SAI Global - Bibliographic Standards database covering over one million worldwide engineering Standards and specifications (both active and historical) from over 400 publishers.
World Standards Services Network (WSSN) - Network of Standards organisations and World Wide Web servers around the world that provides information on international, regional and national standardisation and related activities and services.

EverySpec - Source of free downloads of government and military Standards, specifications, handbooks, and documents aimed at engineering and technical professionals in a range of sectors, including; aerospace, defence, civil engineering and construction, and information technology.
Computing Specifications and Standards
IEEE 802 Standard - Through the IEEE Get Program you can view and download the current IEEE 802 Standard for Local and Metropolitan Area Networks for free.
Military Specifications and Standards
UK Defence Standardization (DSTAN) - Develops, UK MOD standardization policies, Standards, procedures and guidance on standardization issues in the UK and further afield. It provides a searchable Defence Standard Index.
Department of Defence Single Stock Point for Military Specifications, Standards and Related Publications (DODSSP) - provides central location and access to the collection of Military Specifications, Standards, and related standardisation documents prepared/adopted by the Department of Defense (DOD).
North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) - Provides details of NATO Standardization Agreements for procedures and systems and equipment components (STANAGs).
Patents
Scitopia - Provides federated searchable index of more than 3.5 million documents including patents and government data and was formed through a collaboration of 21 science and technology societies.
